Showing 12-hour time

This page shows the current time on the device where the browser is open. The numbers come from that device clock, and they are drawn in the browser. You can use this clock at no charge.

What this clock is

AlarmPick Clock reads the time and date already set on your computer or phone and formats them for this page. It does not measure a lap, and it does not count down to a time you choose.

How to use it

  1. Read the large time. Seconds are part of the display, and the date is shown under it.
  2. Choose 12-hour or 24-hour time. That choice is saved on this device and used the next time you open the page.
  3. Switch to the clock face with hands if you want it. Full screen enlarges the clock when the browser allows it.

What you can do

  • A digital clock with seconds and today's date.
  • 12-hour and 24-hour time, with AM or PM in the 12-hour view.
  • An analog face that uses the same device time, plus full screen.

Ways to use it

  • Keep the time and date visible while you work.
  • Glance at a large clock in a kitchen, a meeting, or a classroom.

Accuracy and browser limits

  • The time is the clock of the device running the browser. If that clock is set wrong, this page is wrong too.
  • AlarmPick does not provide its own time server. This page is not an atomic clock and it is not an official time signal.
  • A background tab may refresh the picture less often. When you come back, the page reads the device clock again. It does not add one second for each missed update.
  • Closing the browser stops this clock. The page does not keep drawing time after it is gone.
  • A timezone name, when the browser provides one, describes the browser's timezone setting. It is not your physical location, and this page is not a world clock.

Questions

What time is it on my device?

The large numbers are the current local time from the clock on this device. They are not a time fixed when the page was published.

Is this online clock accurate?

It is as close as the clock on your computer or phone. AlarmPick does not correct that clock and does not claim to be an official time source.

Does this clock use my local time?

Yes. It uses the local time of the device that is running the browser. It does not look up a city or guess where you are.

Can I switch between 12-hour and 24-hour time?

Yes. Use the 12-hour and 24-hour buttons. The choice stays in this browser.

Why is the displayed time wrong?

The usual reason is that the device clock, timezone, or automatic time setting is wrong. This page repeats that clock. It does not replace it.

Does the clock keep working in a background tab?

The page does not keep its own count of seconds. A hidden tab may pause drawing. When the tab is visible again, it reads the device time immediately. Closing the browser stops the clock on this page.
